So are you that guy who forgot the invitation and is now currently scrambling hoping the info is online. Or maybe I was a bad friend and messed up your address and you didn’t get your invite. Fear not good soul. 
I was going to say a few words about Marie’s ring but instead I figured why write when someone else articulated it so well. Click here to read my sister Joy’s post about the engagement and ring.
Marie and I started dating 4 years ago. In that time plenty of stories and memories have been written. I thought I would share a couple of little details from the video that the average viewer may not catch.
- The blanket in the opening shot Marie made for me when I was sick.
- There’s also a box of tissues that Marie gave me that has something she loves about me on every tissue (it’s the one thing in the house that my housemate Pete isn’t alowed to use)
- Also near the bed is a rosary from Medjugorje (We both went at separate times and had powerful experiences) and also of course a guitar.
- In the medicine cabinet are holy cards of our confirmation saints (St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Maria Goretti)
- Michigan Calendar
- We love bike riding together.
We are relatively simple people. In addition, we are both currently living in our own houses and will be downsizing as I move into Marie’s house after the wedding. That being said prayers are the best gift that you could give. We do love creativity and we also may suggest donating to one of our favorite charities:
Catholic Relief Services - Cory’s witnessed their incredible work in Haiti and in Africa.
Emmaus Ministries Chicago – In college Marie spent all of her spring breaks working with Emmaus in Chicago.
Generation Life - We both have some great friends spreading the truth of chastity and the message of life.
FOCUS – Cory’s sister Joy and brother in law Jacob work for the Fellowship of Catholic University Students spreading the Gospel to college students around the country.
Many of you gave to our successful Make Music Happen Campaign and we are excited to share the fruits of those gifts. We did register at these establishments if you insist to get us something we will be very thankful. Target, Macy’s, Amazon
Flights:
Your best bet is to fly into Kalamazoo – Battle Creek International Airport (AZO). AZO is about 25 minutes away from St. Joseph Church.
You could also fly into Detroit Metro Airport (DTW) which is just under 2 hours from the Church. It’s often cheaper to fly into Detroit but much less convenient.
Hotels:
There is no official hotel for the weekend. There are several quality hotels on Beckley Road and downtown.
